We are taking over Claremorris Town Hall for a full fortnight to create a fully-staged production of Legally Blonde Jr. Join us weekdays from 14-25 July as we bring one of Broadway’s most energetic and hilarious shows from page to stage in just two weeks.
How does it work?
Each weekday, from 10am to 4pm, you will split your time between acting, singing and choreography rehearsals – learning as you go about performance technique, stage craft and all the other skills needed to put on a fantastic show.
The final Friday of the Summer School will see you showcase your hard work to friends and family in a fully-staged performance of Legally Blonde Jr. in the Townhall Theatre, Claremorris.
Who is the Summer School for?
You don’t need any prior experience to take part in this fantastic production. There are roles available for all abilities and confidence levels, and our teachers have worked with everyone from complete beginners to seasoned performers. The only things you need to bring with you are a positive attitude and packed lunch! All participants must be between 6 and 18 years old on 14 July 2025.
How will you pick the cast?
If you want to go for one of the lead parts, with solo lines and singing, we’ll be holding relaxed auditions for those characters on Day 1. We’d encourage everyone to try out, but if you know you’d rather not, that’s fine too – there’s lots of group singing and dancing to get involved in throughout the show.
To help you prepare, we’ll be sending out audition pieces and practice tracks a month in advance, along with some notes about the characters themselves, and detail about how the auditions will be run.
Cost:
€300 per child. 20% reduction (€240) for each additional family member
€50 non-refundable deposit per child to secure your place
Each of our performers will have their own souvenir script to use and keep forever, as well as a free Abú! t-shirt
Wraparound care available on request from 9-10AM and 4-5PM each day - €5 per day. You can confirm what days you need this service when you make your final payment.
